Time-Dependent Solution for a Star Immersed in a Background Radiation
نویسندگان
چکیده
We study a time-dependent and spherically-symmetric solution with a star-like source. We show that this solution can be interpreted as an exterior solution of a contracting star which has a decreasing temperature and is immersed in a homogenous and isotropic background radiation. Distribution of the temperature in the fields and close-to Schwarzschild approximation of the solution are studied. By identifying the radiation with the cosmic background one, we find that the close-to-Schwarzschild approximate solution is valid in a wide range in our solar system. Possible experimental tests of the solution are discussed briefly. PACS number(s): 04.20.-q, 04.50.+h ∗Email: [email protected]

Quality Assurance of LINAC by Analyzing the Profile of 6-MV and 10-MV Photon Beams Using Star Track Device
Introduction: According to the American Society of Radiation Oncology, all patients receive radiation therapy during their illness, where radiation is delivered by the medical linear accelerator (Linac). The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality assurance (QA) of the Linac in analyzing the used dose profile in the treatment of cancer tumors. Materi...

Time-dependent wormhole solution of the BD theory in an anisotropic radiation background is presented. It is also found that the BD scalar field depends only on time. This time dependency is in power-law form. It is shown that the wormhole geometry is valid for ω ≥ -3/2, and for any arbitrary positive values of . The GR limit of our solution is obtained for ω=0 , not for ω→∞ . Though the BD f...
متن کاملThe Anti-Proliferative and Anti-Angiogenic Effect of the Methanol Extract from Brittle Star
Background: Anti-angiogenic therapy is a crucial step in cancer treatment. The discovery of new anti-angiogenic compounds from marine organisms has become an attractive concept in anti-cancer therapy. Because little data correlated to the pro- and anti-angiogenic efficacies of Ophiuroidea, which include brittle star, the current study was designed to explore the anti-angiogenic potential of bri...
متن کاملA Fast Immersed Boundary Fourier Pseudo-spectral Method for Simulation of the Incompressible Flows
Abstract The present paper is devoted to implementation of the immersed boundary technique into the Fourier pseudo-spectral solution of the vorticity-velocity formulation of the two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. The immersed boundary conditions are implemented via direct modification of the convection and diffusion terms, and therefore, in contrast to some other similar ...
متن کاملEvaluation of MTT and Trypan Blue assays for radiation-induced cell viability test in HepG2 cells
Background: Cell viability is an important factor in radiation therapy and thus is a method to quantify the effect of the therapy. Materials and Methods: The viability of human hepatoma (HepG2) cells exposed to radiation was evaluated by both the MTT and Trypan blue assays. The cells were seeded on 96 well-plates at a density of 1 x 104 cells/well, incubated overnight, and irradiated with...
